Quick Fruit Dessert

The first section of the book is called “Nice Easy Things to Do with Jell-O.” As you can tell from a photo, it’s so simple a kid can do it. The first mold in the book has the not-so-evocative title “Quick Fruit Dessert.”
This was indeed quick, nice and easy. It’s basically just jello with frozen berries added.
My failure came in my impatience to unmold it. The tip for unmolding jello is to soak the mold for a minute in warm water, and then use a knife to separate the edges of the jello from the mold. I don’t think I left it in the warm water long enough, because one jagged half came out and one half stayed in the mold. It was too ugly to photograph, but it was quite tasty. Here’s a “Before” photo.

“Too ugly to photograph”!! Coward!!! If you are fully committed to this journey, you must photograph even your failures so we can view your pain!
